Clicking on this icon in a database will take you to the Interlibrary form.
In order to borrow books and AV materials, you must have a college photo ID. Visit the Office of Public Safety (1311 College Avenue) or contact your site coordinator for assistance.
In addition to locating materials housed within the library, the OPAC provides links to electronic books. To have full access to these items from anywhere other than the Reading campus, you will be asked to enter your network username and password. If you have any problems accessing electronic items, please contact the Reference Desk at 610-921-7211 or libraryref@albright.edu. If you are contacting the library after our normal business hours, please use the email address since that is monitored periodically when the library is closed.
Getting the Items You Need
If you need an item that the library does not own OR if you do not attend classes on the Reading campus and need an item in the library's collection, use the interlibrary loan service (ILLIAD) to obtain what you need. Students enrolled at the Reading campus are expected to come to the library to make photocopies or check out needed materials. All others may have the items sent to their home, and they are expected to send returnable materials back to the library by the due date stamped on the item. For those times of the academic year when the library is on an abbreviated schedule, such as parts of August, special arrangements to mail items or to leave them with the Public Safety Department for pickup may be approved by the Supervisor of the Interlibrary Loan Department, Pat Brosenne, at 610-921-7212 or pbrosenne@albright.edu Student circulation and interlibrary loan policies are explained online.
Returning the Goods
Books and AV materials must be returned by the due date stamped on the circulation slip in the back of the item. Items can be returned at the Circulation Desk (or book drop outside the main entrance if the library is closed), or by mail. The college addresses can be found on the bottom of the Albright home page.
Overdue fines and lost book fee schedules can be found online.
