An academic version of Google providing a simple way to broadly search for scholarly literature. Coverage dates vary.
Peer-reviewed papers, theses, books, abstracts and articles, from academic publishers, professional societies, preprint repositories, universities and other scholarly organizations are available. Google Scholar helps identify the most relevant research across the scholarly world. Google Scholar can be used to search several Albright subsciption databases, e.g., JSTOR, Project Muse, ScienceDirect, etc.

ALA/ALSC Children's Literature Awards

The ALSC awards are announced every January at the American Library Association Midwinter Meeting.

Lexile Framework for Reading Due to funding cuts of the State Library's budget, NoveList and NoveList K-8 Plus database are no longer available to academic libraries. However, the Lexile Framework for Reading website does provide lexile scores as well as reading lists. Open access.
