Downloading Basics

There are two basic download options for reading ebrary content offline. Choose the option that best fits your needs.

Downloading a PDF image of a specific chapter or page range (60 page limit). These files do not expire and are accessible on most devices including the Kindle.

  • Sign into your ebrary account.
  • Locate the chapter or page range you wish download.
  • Click download and follow the prompts.

Downloading an entire book (not available for the Kindle--For special Kindle Fire instructions, click on the Kindle Fire tab above.).

You must have Adobe Digital Editions installed on your computer.

  • Sign into your ebrary account.
  • Locate the item you wish download.
  • Click download and follow the prompts

You can download up to 10 documents at a time.

Most documents can be downloaded for 14-days unless you return them early. You do not have to return an ebrary book at the end of the access period. Once your time is over, the file becomes unreadable and you may want to delete the file.

To summarize:

A PDF image of a chapter or page range is permanent, i.e., will not expire or become unreadable. It can be read on almost any device.

A download of an entire book will become unreadable, usually after 14 days. Delete the file to recover space.
