Special Subject Databases

  •  is collection of academic journals in various disciplines. Unlike many databases JSTOR does not have the most recent publications. Its primary function is to preserve access to journals for future researchers. Journal issues are typically added to JSTOR 3 to 5 years after publication in what is referred to as a moving wall.
     
  • MLA International Bibliography  -- Consists of bibliographic records pertaining to literature, language, linguistics, and folklore, and includes coverage from 1926 to the present. Provides access to scholarly research in over 3,000 journals and series, and covers relevant monographs, working papers, proceedings, bibliographies, and other formats.
     
  • Project Muse - is a collection of more current pulications in full text, with a good concentration on the humanities and English criticism.
  • Academic Search Premier  -- ASP indexes over 12,000 peer reviewed journals with fulltext for over 4,700 journals
