FYS100 -- Greening Our Campus: Campus Resources

Academic Learning Center

The Academic Learning Center provides Albright students with the opportunity to enhance their academic careers. The peer tutoring program, academic skills workshops, and academic coaching offer students avenues to succeed at a higher level in their coursework while attending Albright. The ALC is committed to helping students through group work and one-on-one consultation. By collaborating closely with students’ faculty and academic advisers, and with other support units like the Writing Center and Disability Services Office, the ALC helps provide a clear path to academic planning and success.

Albright Writing Center

The Writing Center offers free sessions with peer writing and reading tutors to discuss all aspects of the writing process, from brainstorming to composition and revising/editing skills. We enjoy working with writers at any level and for writing in any course. Interactive sessions will engage you in developing your ideas and having meaningful conversations about your writing. The center is located on the first floor of the Library/Administration Building and has drop-in hours and appointments.

Student Accessibility & Advocacy

The Student Accessibility & Advocacy office ensures that people with disabilities have equal opportunity to participate in its programs and activities, in compliance with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act and the Americans with Disabilities Act Amendments Act (ADAAA) and encourages qualified students to request impairment-related accommodations for which they qualify. Impairment-related academic adjustments, auxiliary aids, and services are offered through the Disability Services office, which handles all requests for academic accommodations and makes referrals to other college units as needed.
