Gingrich Library: Your Success Is Why We're Here!

Library Policies

Library policies and procedures

Introduction
Gingrich Library supports the academic and co-curricular needs of Albright College students, staff, and faculty. It is our wish that the library will engage and invite curiosity and learning to the Albright community.

Library Access
Library services are available online and in person at our temporary location in the Computing and Mathematics (CCM) building until renovations on the Student Success Commons and Library are complete. You will need an Albright ID card to enter the building. Our hours can be found on our main page here.

At this time during our transition, we have limited ability to support members of the local community except by appointment. Please email libraryref@albright.edu for more information.

Borrowing
Current faculty, staff, and students are welcome to borrow materials to help complement their academic studies. Students can borrow up to fifty items for six weeks. Faculty* and Staff may borrow up to one hundred  items for sixteen  weeks. Each item may be renewed up to two times before it must be physically returned. Renewals will not be possible for books that are in demand by others.

Fines
Gingrich Library has joined many other libraries in removing punitive overdue fines. We only ask each patron checking something out to be courteous and return the item on time so it can be used by another.

Patrons who do not return, lose and/or heavily damage items will be billed.

Conduct
Be considerate of your fellow Abrightians when using the library space.

Food and drink are allowed at the library, but please clean up after yourself when you are done.
