Can I get articles delivered to my mobile device?
Yes. Any device with a browser and pdf reader will work.

How do I know when my Interlibrary Loans will be ready?
You will receive an email when materials are ready for you. If you requested a book, the email will say that it is ready to be picked up in the CCM. For articles or book chapters, you will receive a link with an access passcode to the article. Note that the link is only active for 30 days or 4 views, so we recommend you download the article/chapter when you open the document the first time.

Why can't I get everything electronically?
At present, you can only receive articles or book chapters electronically, as we do not have the ability to borrow ebooks.

Is there anything I cannot obtain through Interlibrary Loan?
We do not borrow textbooks or course materials since that is against the US ILL Code and the Pennsylvania ILL Code. We also do not request dissertations. It is rare that we are able to receive the following: academic audiovisual materials, or selected international publications that are not published in English.

When will I receive my request?
You should allow adequate time to get your materials. Article requests are usually received in one to three business days. Books not owned by Albright College take longer to arrive since they have to be physically mailed via U.S. Mail or UPS. If you need an item by a particular date, please contact a library staff member to make sure that we can meet your deadline.

Is security a problem if I use a workstation in a public setting, like a public library?
Yes. Web browsers cache information and create a history file on the local workstation. This allows a subsequent user of the workstation to access the system under your name using the browser's Back button to recall a page from the cache, or by finding a page with your personal information in the browser's history file. To prevent this:

  1. Always logout of the Interlibrary Loan site before you visit another site or close the browser.
  2. Delete from the history file those pages that contain your personal information.
  3. Exit from the Web browser before you leave the workstation. This prevents the Back button from accessing the pages you were using.
