The Center for the Arts was built in 1991 and is the home of the art, music and theatre departments. Ground was broken on September 7, 1989, and it was dedicated on April 14, 1991 as part of the Arts Festival. The Center for the Arts includes the Freedman Gallery and the Theatre. The Mary Miss sculpture is the highlight of the Sculpture Court.
