This is an Experience Event!
Dr. Palshikar will discuss the results of a summer 2017 research trip to the United Kingdom that included reading declassified documents related to India’s language policies in Britain’s National Archives. It will introduce language politics in India, discuss colonial views and post-colonial views, and identify how these views changed over time.
